Battery monitoring
Energenie battery health monitoring
Real-time cell-level monitoring of lead-acid and Ni-Cd battery banks with alarms, logging and remote access.
Overview
What it does
Energenie by Statcon Energiaa is a microcontroller-based battery monitoring system with an in-built computer that continually checks each cell, its wired connection, voltage and temperature.
It flags weak, under-voltage and over-voltage cells with multi-level alarms and logs data for trend analysis and predictive maintenance.
Data can be viewed locally on a touchscreen or remotely over the existing LAN.
Applications
- Monitoring battery banks in power plants
- Monitoring non-battery conditions via digital inputs, such as door status, exhaust fan failure and air-conditioning failure
Features
Why engineers choose it
- Automatic 24x7 real-time monitoring of all cells
- Detects under-voltage and over-voltage of the bank or individual cells and identifies weak cells
- Multi-level fault and alarm escalation by severity
- Bar and line charts comparing cell voltage with average, and cell temperature with ambient
- Remote monitoring over existing LAN (TCP/IP), including cloud access, with no extra wiring
- No GUI software installation needed
- Password-protected login for authorised personnel
- Replaceable modules for lower service costs and predictive maintenance
