Overview

What it does

Stationary battery chargers for naval ships and defence installations in thyristor-controlled and modular SMPS (N+1) designs, with output voltages from 24 V to 550 V.

Thyristor chargers run from 230 V or 415 V, 50 Hz input and deliver 15 A to 1,500 A with output regulation below 1%.

Chargers are offered as free-standing panels, mobile trolleys or container-type structures, in float, float-cum-boost and redundant configurations.

Why engineers choose it

  • Automatic float/boost and CC/CV charging
  • Cell monitoring and monitoring ports
  • Configurations: float-cum-boost with dropper diodes, dual redundant, multiple chargers with standby unit
  • N+1 redundant SMPS modules for 24–220 V DC systems
  • In-house transformer manufacturing and wiring
  • High transient response under load and line variations

Applications

  • Battery charging on naval ships
  • Shore and dockyard DC systems
  • Defence installations and stationary battery banks
