Containerised solar PV power room with roof-mounted panels, hybrid PCU and batteries for remote sites.

4–8 kWp PV; 6–250 kVA hybrid PCU

Solar container solution

Overview

What it does

The solar container solution is a 20 ft marine container fitted with 4–8 kWp of roof-mounted solar panels, a hybrid PCU and battery storage, usable as a mobile office or service point.

It supplies round-the-clock power, for loads sized to the PV and battery, without a grid connection, or runs grid-tied where power is available, and generates up to about 10,000 kWh a year, depending on site and array size.

Applications

  • Doctor's clinics and paramedic health screening
  • Vaccination centres
  • Cold storage for milk, vegetables and fish
  • Disaster management centres
  • Water purification systems
  • Remote-area power supply
A solar container installed on site

Features

Why engineers choose it

  • Round-the-clock power without a grid, for loads sized to the PV and battery
  • Roof-mounted panels double as shade for temperature control
  • Hybrid PCU with battery backup
  • Runs grid-tied where power is available, off-grid where it is not
  • Insulated interior usable as mobile office space
  • Rated for 150 km/h winds
