Load banks and test equipment
AC and DC load banks
Resistive AC/DC and resistive-inductive AC load banks up to 4.7 MW for testing ships' power, generators and batteries.

Overview
What it does
AC and DC load banks for testing and commissioning of generators, ship power systems and batteries, from compact portable units to a 4.7 MW single-unit AC load bank.
They use stainless steel resistance grids, PLC-based step selection and power factor monitoring, and are offered as panel, trolley-mounted or container type.
A modular 'twin' load bank pairs two identical units that run independently or as a single 3000 kW bank.
Applications
- Testing AC and DC power sources on ships and submarines at naval dockyards
- Load testing of diesel generator sets and alternators
- Shore testing of ships' electrical systems
- Battery capacity testing and resistive discharging
- Load testing of electrolyser rectifiers
Features
Why engineers choose it
- Single-unit ratings up to 4.7 MW AC load bank
- Twin modular design: master/follower operation as one 3000 kW bank, or independent units
- PLC and HMI in each unit with local and remote control
- Power factor monitoring and control
- Dynamic DC loads with Ah and cell monitoring for battery discharge testing
- Protection and alarm features for safe operation
- Every unit factory tested before dispatch, including a rain test
