Industrial battery chargers and rectifiers
SMPS-based battery chargers
Modular, redundant switch-mode battery chargers with high input power factor and low input harmonics.

Overview
What it does
Statcon Energiaa SMPS-based battery chargers are a modular alternative to conventional thyristor-controlled chargers, offering redundancy, efficiency, low input line current harmonics and high input power factor.
A monitoring and control module tracks the input supply and battery-path DC voltage and current and coordinates modules working in parallel.
More than 10,000 such modules are in service in harsh Indian environmental conditions.
Applications
- Industrial DC power supply and battery charging
Features
Why engineers choose it
- Automatic float/boost changeover
- Constant current / constant voltage battery charging
- Output voltage settings for VRLA, lead-acid and Ni-Cd batteries
- Temperature compensation for VRLA batteries
- Battery health monitoring
- Dropper diode selection
- Lightning and surge protection at rack level
- Monitoring and control module that commands all modules in parallel
