Fig 1.a shows a basic Thyristor bridge, and if the conversion losses are calculated, it consists of PW = (Irms2 x r) + (Vo x Io) where Irms is the rms current through Thyristor, r is its on-state resistance, Vo is its on-state voltage and Io is average DC current through device.
