Founder; leads strategy, engineering direction and growth.
Manoj founded Statcon Energiaa in 1987 and has led it through nearly four decades of change in power electronics, from discrete devices to power ICs and today’s custom power-conversion systems for demanding industrial and energy applications. An electronics engineer from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, he began as a design engineer at Uptron Powertronics.
He has contributed to the design of mission-critical systems including MW battery chargers for the Indian Navy, ground power units for AN-32 aircraft starting, and smart solar inverters for hybrid and microgrid use, including hybrid systems for telecom towers. His work also spans battery chargers up to 4,000 A, dischargers up to 1.5 MW and early storage-linked solar applications in India. Under his leadership the company has built capabilities across solar, power, defence and railways.
In January 2026 he was elected Chairman of the Renewable Energy and Storage Group of IEEMA, India’s apex association of manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment. He also mentors young entrepreneurs and start-ups.
