Who we are
This privacy policy describes how Statcon Energiaa Private Limited handles information gathered through its website and the Energenie app, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. The Google Play listing is published under the GEOCON-IoT developer account, operated by Champion Semiconductor LLP.
About the Energenie app
Energenie is a mobile application developed by Statcon Energiaa Private Limited. It lets users set up, configure and remotely monitor supported Statcon Energiaa hardware such as solar inverters and battery systems. It is free and intended only for the company's customers.
Information we collect
Account details: name, email address, mobile number, password (hashed). Device and technical data: Wi-Fi configuration, device connection preferences, diagnostic logs, app usage data. Cloud monitoring data: device operational data (inverter status, power readings, battery levels). Contact information (website form): name, email address, message content. Log data: device IP address, app version, OS version, timestamps, crash reports. We do not collect your precise location, browsing history or financial information.
App permissions — Energenie
Bluetooth: scanning for and connecting to Energenie-supported Bluetooth devices during initial setup. Nearby devices: detecting and pairing with compatible Statcon Energiaa hardware nearby. Wi-Fi: detecting and communicating with Wi-Fi-enabled inverter and battery devices on the local network. Internet: supporting cloud monitoring, remote access, app updates and backend communication. These are used solely for device connectivity and app functionality.
How we use your information
Create and manage your Energenie account. Enable device connectivity, configuration and remote monitoring features. Troubleshoot technical issues and improve app performance. Send service-related notifications (e.g., device alerts, firmware updates). Respond to your enquiries submitted through our website. Comply with applicable laws and regulations. We do not use personal data for advertising or profiling.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who help run the app or website (such as cloud hosting or crash analytics) under confidentiality obligations; when required by law, court order, or government authority; and as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Data retention & account deletion
Account and device data is kept for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. To request deletion, email rms@energiaa.in with the subject 'Account Deletion Request', or use the in-app option under Settings → Account. Requests are processed within 30 days, except where the law requires retention.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, and communication between the app and devices is encrypted. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's privacy
The app and website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child's data has been provided, contact rms@energiaa.in and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the 'Last updated' date; we may notify users through the app or directly. Continued use of the app or website after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
